Work on Brindavan Upgradation will be conducted on panchayat land.

Mandya: DK Shivakumar, the deputy chief minister and a prominent minister for irrigation, revealed intentions to transform the KRS dam’s Brindavan Garden into a popular tourist destination. The land where these upgrades would be carried out is distributed within the boundaries of the local panchayat. The DCM stated that more than 10,000 employment would be generated after the renovations are finished and that the project would need 200 acres of land.

After examining the project proposal and the area around the KRS dam, Shivakumar told reporters that the new construction would begin after the necessary acreage was set aside for dam safety.

“The project is estimated to cost Rs 2,000 crore,” Shivakumar disclosed, asserting that it will be carried out in a manner that will have no impact whatsoever on the safety of the KRS dam.

“Four lanes will be created at Brindavan Gardens’ entry and departure points. He stated that a comprehensive tourism development project would be undertaken for the Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary and Brindavan Gardens.

According to Shivakumar, he has requested that officials present a proposal for carrying out the Cauvery Arati program in a manner similar to Ganga Aarati.
Shivakumar added that Karnataka has so far given Tamil Nadu 96 million cubic feet of extra water.
